This qualification provides entry level exposure to basic building and construction skills. This qualification is offered via our full time Trade Skills Program.

Having previously engaged in some formal and/or informal experiences such as:

  • Building and Construction School programs
  • Industry ‘Try a Trade’ Initiatives
  • Have some work experiences performing construction duties

Pathways from this qualification
Having achieving this qualification, candidates may choose to enrol in further education such as:

  • CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying
  • CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry
  • CPC30920 Certificate III in Scaffolding

Training and Assessment Strategy
During this on-campus full time short course, candidates will be trained and assessed via flexible and unique training strategies that cater for all individual needs and requirements.

  • Direct observations of the candidate performing simulated tasks
  • Completion of activities or projects relevant to the qualification
  • Written assessments and oral questioning
